Based on a desire expressed by its sales team to showcase more behind-the-scenes footage, Bollman Hat Company contracted Bell Media Group to create educational and short-form videos that illustrate the strength, beauty, quality, and craftsmanship of its products. Knowing that we were approaching a brand with a deep and storied history, Bell Media Group got to know Bollman Hat Company from the ground up. By executing storytelling sessions and pre-production walk-throughs, we developed a series of focus areas and matched them up with the appropriate factory locations and personnel.
Each month, Bell Media Group Spent a half day onsite with the Bollman Hat Company team. These structured shooting sessions took place in every nook and cranny of the facility, from the executive boardroom to the carding room to the finishing floor. The footage was shot with a variety of flexible, on-the-go equipment, including cell phones, creator cams, portable microphones, and gimbals. Keeping our equipment lean allows us to shoot with speed and flexibility.
